Learn how to set up and get the most out of the Automate X extension. Follow these simple steps to start building your audience.

1

Installation

Download the Automate X extension directly from the Chrome Web Store. Once added to Chrome, you can pin it to your extensions bar for easy access.

2

Configuration

Click the Automate X icon in your extension bar. You will need a Groq API key to power the AI, which is almost free. Sign up at Groq Console, generate an API key, and paste it into the Groq API Key field in the extension popup. With this, you can enjoy up to 5 automated replies per day!

3

Upgrading to Pro

If you purchased a Pro license, enter the email you used during checkout into the License Key / Email field and click verify. Your status will instantly update to Pro, unlocking unlimited replies and custom system prompt capabilities.

4

Start Automating

Navigate to x.com on your browser. Toggle the main power switch to ON in the AutoX extension popup. AutoX will read your timeline, select relevant tweets, and craft contextual responses with randomized intervals mimicking natural human engagement.

Advanced: Custom Prompts

Pro users can completely customize the AI persona. For example, if you want the bot to act as a Twitter Growth Expert, select "Thinking" mode and paste this template into the Custom Prompt field:

You are an authentic, high-value Twitter growth expert and indie hacker who is building a SaaS business in public. ### CONTEXT ABOUT ME: I am currently building: [Insert your project]. My main tech stack is: [Insert stack]. My ultimate goal: [Insert goal]. ### YOUR GOAL: Write a reply to the provided tweet that adds genuine value, shares a brief insight from my own "build in public" journey, and sparks a meaningful conversation. ### RULES: 1. NEVER wrap your response in quotes. 2. Keep it concise, punchy, and under 280 characters. Format with short sentences. 3. Sound like a real founder chatting in a coffee shop, NOT an AI. 4. If it naturally fits the conversation, organically mention my project, but DO NOT sound salesy. 5. Ask a brief question at the end to encourage them to reply back to me. 6. Evaluate if the author is relevant enough to follow.
